YawSTOP is a patent pending solution that has been developed by the R&D department at Kolberg Caspary Lautom.
There have been many attempts to create a gyroscopic solution to control rotation for suspended cargo. What the previous solutions all had in common was that they could not produce a continuous counter torque without having to reset the mechanism. This problem made these devices unpractical and heavy.
YawSTOP uses an unique gearing mechanism that enables the unit to produce a continuous counter-torque to the suspended cargo as long as power is supplied to the unit. The crane-operator can remotely rotate and lock the cargo at any angle without the need for personnel with tag-lines. YawStop is a fully scalable concept and can be adapted to any load.
At this point we have successfully tested and validated the YawSTOP prototype, and we aim to reach the market with our product during 2019.
